Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 October 2026

1. What these terms cover

These terms apply when you create a Grip workspace or use one on behalf of a business (a “Workspace”). By creating a Workspace or accepting an invitation to one, you agree to these terms for yourself and, if you're signing up on behalf of a business, for that business.

2. Your Workspace and your data

Everything you or your clients enter into your Workspace, records, documents, forms and configuration, belongs to you. You're the data controller for that information; Grip is your processor, acting on your instructions. We don't sell it, share it with other Workspaces, or use it to train anything.

You're responsible for what you put into your Workspace and for making sure you have the right to collect it from the clients you work with, including their consent where the law requires it.

3. Accounts and access

Keep your password confidential and tell us if you think your account has been compromised. You're responsible for what happens under accounts you control, including staff accounts you create or invite within your Workspace.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Grip to:

  • Collect data you don't have a lawful basis to collect.
  • Send communications your recipients haven't agreed to receive.
  • Attempt to access another Workspace's data.
  • Interfere with the service or attempt to bypass its security.

5. Fees

Where a Workspace is on a paid plan, fees are billed as described at signup or in your plan. You can cancel at any time; we don't lock you into a long contract.

6. Availability

We aim to keep Grip available and reliable, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. We'll give notice of planned maintenance where we reasonably can.

7. Leaving

You can close your Workspace at any time. On request, we'll export your data to you and delete our copy, subject to any legal retention obligations that apply to specific records (for example, audit trails required by applicable law).

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product changes. If a change is material, we'll let Workspace owners know before it takes effect.
